With the use of CFD Software, the performance of the Enhanced Airfoil Blade Modification was simulated against it’s baseline airfoil blade.

This resulted in a lift force increase of 7.3%. For a modern wind turbine, this would allow for a tangential force gain of over 6.7%.

A Numerical Simulation was also completed, resulting in a lift force increase of 3.99%, and a lift/drag ratio increase of 3.37%.

The outcomes of these simulations prove the effectiveness of the concept behind the Enhanced Airfoil Blade Modification, and how these gains in aerodynamic efficiency align with fluid mechanics fundamentals.
